MAC PRO LONG WEAR FOUNDATION AND SMASHBOX STUDIO SKIN FOUNDATION THE SAME???

Today i was doing my normal makeup routine with the addition of trying out my new mac pro long wear concealer. I used it with the foundation i was trying to finish off which was my studio skin foundation from smashbox. When i was applying my concealer, i noticed that the concealer and the foundation had the exact same smell! From this moment i grabbed the boxes which they came in (so glad i keep all my makeup boxes) and checked the ingredients. Surprisingly enough, they were 90% the same! So then i went to google and looked up the ingredients for the pro long wear foundation and it was 99% the same as the smashbox studio skin foundation!! (with the difference in dye's that they use and the concentration of some of the ingredients)

(NOTE: if highlighted it means that they are the same in both foundations)

"thank you kiki for this amazing information, but what am i meant to do with it?" well if you want to try either of these foundations you don't have to try both because again they are exactly the same. Although, the thing that might make you decide which one you should get is through the comparison of the price, colour selection and sun protection it provides. The mac foundation retails for $54 in Australia whilst the Smashbox one is $56. Well thats not a massive difference however Mac does offer 22 shades that have cool warm and neutral shades whilst smashbox only offers 12 shades which are all warm toned. So if you cannot find your shade in the mac you can try smashbox or the other way around. And the last thing is that the Mac foundation has spf 10 whilst the Smashbox one has spf 15 which again isn't a big difference.

if you are interested in these two foundations make sure you check out my review of the Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation
woop that is all :D
